UNESCO world heritage site Kathmandu Durbar Square is in front of the old royal palace of former kathmandu kingdom. The durbar is surrounded with ancient architecture and showcase if Newari Style.
This place held the palce of Malla and Saha King who ruled Kathmandu.
It was severely damaged by earthquake on 25th April 2015. It is also known as Basantapur Durbar Square. It is one of the tourist place inside the valley.
