Gosaikunda

Gosaikunda is an alpine freshwater oligotrophic lake in Nepal’s Langtang National Park. It is located at an alititude of 4,380 m in Rasuwa district. There are 108 lakes in this area. These lakes melts and sips down to from the Trishuli River. Gosaikunda is also known for its religious significance . Hindu Mythology attributes Gosaikunda as the adobe of the Hindu deities Shiva and Gauri. Tourist’s as well as local bodies come from different places for trekking. The trek to Gosaikiunda starts in Dhunche Village or Syabru Besi in the Langtang Himal. It is a must visit place. It is filled with hotel and lodges with good internet facilities.
